Love in the canals of Venice.

In Venice, the city doesn't reveal itself all at once, it drifts past you.

My opening shot happened almost by accident. I was on a boat moving through the canal when I noticed a couple walking quickly along the edge, trying to catch up with us. For a moment it felt like they might make it, but the narrow path eventually led them to a dead end. They stopped there as the boat continued forward, and the city slowly carried us away.

From there, the film became a series of quiet observations: bridges arching over still canals, weathered buildings reflecting in the water, small boats resting in corners of the city that feel untouched by time.

And then the sunset arrived.

The sky shifted slowly - orange fading into soft pink, then deepening into purple and crimson. The water caught every color and carried it through the canals like moving light. It was one of those moments where filming almost feels secondary, because the scene itself is already complete.

Sometimes the best thing to do is simply let the city pass by and watch what unfolds.
