Me and who ?
August 13, 2025
Football in Germany feels less like a sport and more like a shared language. Living near Munich, I've been lucky enough to experience that atmosphere inside Allianz Arena watching both FC Bayern Munich and the German national football team play.
One club match in particular stayed with me. Sitting in the stands, there was a couple in front of me who seemed completely absorbed in the game together. It had that simple,, genuine energy that makes you smile: two people sharing something they both love, creating a memory in the middle of a roaring stadium.
Football also means something different for me beyond the big stadiums. I play for a lower-division team here in Bavaria, FC Aiterhofen, and the experience there is just as powerful in its own way. The team chemistry, the way players look out for one another, and the care everyone shows on and off the pitch creates a kind of bond that goes beyond the game itself. Whether it's eighty thousand people chanting in the Allianz Arena or a small team training on a local pitch, the feeling is the same.
Football has a way of bringing people together in ways that feel simple, honest, and unforgettable.
